Heart Dog: Maggie Moo | Dallas Pet Photographer

Shhhhhhh! Mother's Day is just around the corner (May 8th!) and I am SO excited about what I have in the works for my mom. I was lucky enough to get a chance to photograph her heart dog, Maggie Moo, before leaving California for Dallas, and am in the process of compiling a beautiful leather-bound album of her pictures. My mom is not on Facebook (crazy, right?!), so don't spoil the surprise ;)

Moo Cow was rescued as a very young pup, and has been by my mom's side ever since. She has suffered bouts with MRSA, multiple staph infections, and battles skin cancer all over her body, but she is THE happy go luckiest little pibble you ever did meet. My goal is always to capture the vibrance and spirit of the pets I photograph not only in their expression, but also in the scene around them. I think we nailed it with Maggie's pet portraits - that big blue sky and bright yellow mustard grass play perfectly off the excitement I always see in her eyes. I cannot wait to gift these to my mom.
