Every Ace needs a wingman to back them up. Surely we can all fly solo, but it is way more fun to fly as a pair! When Fabiola reached out and said Top Gun was their all time favorite movie and they wanted to do a themed photo shoot for their dogs - Maverick and Goose - I just knew I had the need...the need for shutter speed!
Although they look like they could be twins, Maverick and Goose were actually rescued separately. Fabiola is a serial dog rescuer and foster mom (and you wonder why I love her so much!), so after adopting Maverick and deciding to foster Goose, they knew he was a keeper. I think she and I agree that the pattern is NEVER TOO FULL for another dog, or a flyby ;) In fact, Fabi is fostering another amazing pup right now, who is still looking for his home! Check out Rocky's story here.
The boys were rockstars in their flights suits and aviator glasses. I am pretty sure at one point they were inverted…but that’s classified. I couldn’t have had more fun shooting this session. Maverick and Goose lived up to their names and I know they will love flying (running) together for the rest of their days.
We decorated Goose and Maverick's house with the most amazing assortment of wall art, and their mom had the most amazing things to say:
"I had a vision for my fur boys' first photograph session and Robyn nailed it out of the park! Maverick and Goose HAD to have a TOP GUN inspired shoot and I was beyond happy to know how excited Robyn was to work with our idea and us! She definitely knows how to work with dogs. I'm pretty sure she made my fur boys feels like models, and all photos came out amazing!! It was VERY hard not to buy them all, thankfully Robyn really helped us when it came to choosing our prints and artwork. I'm beyond excited to showcase my prints at my boys' first birthday party! They are not only a work of art, but it truly shows my boys personality and energy. These photos will last us a lifetime. Thank you Robyn! AND can't wait for our next photo shoot hopefully soon!"
