We Like Big Mutts and We Cannot Lie | Celebrating the Diversity of Dogs

This week we have been having the most fun celebrating our extended version of #NationalMuttDay! While we love the gorgeous pure breeds out there, our furry friends that break the mold absolutely hold a special place in our hearts. Short, tall, long hair, short hair - we love big (or small) mutts and we cannot lie!

Thank you to everyone who played along the past few days and guessed the breeds mixed into these dogs; we had so much fun with all the answers. Unfortunately there can only be one winner of our Guess the Breed drawing though! Each guess submitted was entered to win a dog DNA test. The winner was randomly chosen this morning and congratulations to Gigi McGuire! Please send us a message to claim your prize, and we'd love to see a photo of your dog when the results come in!

Finally, a quick look back at the mutts you met this week and their breeds:

As a Schnauzer, Shih Tzu, and Poodle mix Reggie is destined to be be the chillest pup around (with great hair to boot!) Rescued by Frosted Faces Foundation in San Diego, California, this dashing dog is a....SchnauTzuPoo? A Schnoodlezu? A Shipoozer? Call him what you want, we think he's purebred perfect.

Beautiful Kella is a tri-pawd Basenji mix and this sighthound is quite the looker...and hearer judging by those fabulous ears!

This beautifully elegant rescue was saved by Coppell Humane Society from Dallas Animal Services! Grace Kelly is a Catahoula Leopard Dog mix who won't be changing her spots anytime soon. These dogs were bred for herding and hunting and are known for their amazing high energy, which we think emanates from her happy face.

This sweet girl is a combination that you'd probably recognize! Izzie is a Lab and pit bull mix, the product of two incredibly loyal and affectionate dogs that absolutely passed their traits down to this happy go lucky gal.
